Tipi Wedding Anniversary with Kevin and Meg Le VuThree Years Married

This year marks our 3rd year wedding anniversary and we’re finally able to do a session that lives up to so many bucket list items! My goal for our anniversary shoots is to always do something different, unique and meaningful. Every single thing about this session was perfect. Furthermore, my sister and our lead photographer Jenna really showed us a whole new depth to her skill and photographic eye.

I found this amazing place via AirBnb and from the reviews and pics I assumed we’d simply arrive, take some photos, be cold, make it through and just go home. To our delight and surprise, every single aspect of the place was so photogenic and relaxing to be around. The service of our hosts was certainly more than we expected. All of us were so enamored with the place. The silence balanced with the wildlife transported us to an instant calm.

Kevin said even though we were only there for a night; it felt like days. Time did seem to slow and we got so lucky with the weather. It was chilly but the sun was purer there; plus we had firewood for days to gather around.

Style Guide:
Our tradition for our anniversary is to go shopping. We picked up these really nice jersey jackets from one of our favorite shops Scotch & Soda and went for a festive; slightly glam/ slightly casual look for our formal outfit. Putting together Kevin’s outfit gave me a chance to dig into some of his older pieces so that his jacket could be the highlight of his outfit. For me; most of the focus went to my makeup as the red tulle easily goes with anything. I originally wanted to do a green velvet pantsuit with gold pumps, alas I couldn’t find one! So I settled for a dress I found on Amazon that didn’t fit perfectly; so you’ll see a little ribbon to tie it up in the back.
